This policy explains how berkinbloom.life uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences (such as basket contents) between pages.
2. Cookies and storage we use
- Strictly necessary — basket & checkout. We use browser local storage to remember what you have added to your basket so it is still there when you continue shopping or refresh the page. This is essential to the site working.
- Strictly necessary — payment. When you check out, Stripe sets its own cookies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. These are set on Stripe's domain, not ours.
- Session integrity. Our hosting platform may set short-lived cookies used purely for security (e.g. CSRF protection) and to keep the site running reliably.
We do not currently use advertising, remarketing or third-party analytics cookies. If this changes we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent.
3. Legal basis
Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. Any non-essential cookies we introduce in future will only be set with your consent.
4. How to control cookies
- Most browsers let you view, delete and block cookies from any site — see your browser's help pages.
- You can clear this site's local storage from your browser's developer tools / site settings; doing so will empty your basket.
- To opt out of common third-party tracking industry-wide, tools such as Your Online Choices may help.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies and storage may stop parts of the site (such as checkout) from working properly.
5. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
